The importance of adequate vitamin D intake for the body is proven in numerous studies.

It turns out that the previous lower limits are chosen so that deficiencies are prevented, but the therapeutic potential of vitamin D is effective only if released from higher amounts.

Vitamin D can be generated by gentle sunbathing and formed naturally in the body without sun protection, whereas tanned skin filters UV radiation and thus slows down the vitamin D formation.

Although the body has a substantial storage potential of vitamin D, but in the prolonged absence of direct sunlight, an additional oral intake should be performed in order to obtain the full potential of the immune system maintains.

Adverse overdoses are not expected at a controlled intake.
